The Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center Dinner

Earlier this month, The Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center hosted its annual fundraising dinner at Grandover Resort in Greensboro.  We have never been to a benefit dinner before, but this was amazing.  The food and location were so fancy - I felt like we were on a formal date!  And we went with some dear friends - Brooks and Sammie Jo.  The best part about the whole thing is obviously this amazing organization.  I have a couple of friends who have volunteered here and I've heard about it a little, but it was so nice to go to the dinner to really understand what they do and how they support and love on women and promote life.  They shared this beautiful story and it brought me to tears - watch here: Mercedes' Story
We are so thankful to support this wonderful support ministry to our community - even in small ways.  One way that everyone can easily support the Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center is through prayer - praying for the mamas that come there - that they will find hope and desire life for their children.  Another way involves giving money by shopping on Amazon!  That's right!
- Go to smile.amazon.com
- Log in with your regular amazon.com account
- A window will appear asking you what organization you'd like to support
- In the search option, type "Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center"
- Select that option and then start shopping!
Amazon donates .5% to the Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center just by setting this up and shopping at smile.amazon.com

Abby Johnson spoke at the dinner.  She was once a director of a Planned Parenthood facility.  She thought that she was helping women, but then realized one day that she was encouraging killing babies.  She helped in an ultrasound assisted abortion and watched a 12 week old baby move and flee for it's life as the abortionist's instruments cut the baby in pieces and sucked them out of the mom.  She knew she had to change.  So now she has joined the pro life movement and her goal is to help end abortion.  You can learn more about her incredible story here
We are really looking forward to going back to the dinner next year and thinking of ways we can be involved in supporting life in our community.  Join us! The Care Center needs support in terms of prayers, money, and volunteers.
